Analytics and Project Management
The Northeastern University campus in Arlington, Virginia—located between Georgetown across the Potomac to the north and the National Cemetery to the south—offers three master’s degrees with broad applicability for research, decision-making, and project efficiency.
Washington College graduates applying to any of the Arlington master’s degrees have the application fee waived and will receive a scholarship of at least 5% toward tuition.
Master of Professional Studies in Analytics
Students learn the competencies that define an analyst’s ability to demonstrate the application of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions through behavior directly related to performance goals, including statistics/mathematics, analytics systems technology, business intelligence, advanced analytics, business process/management, business analytics agility, communicating with data, leadership/data governance, and policy and ethics.
The Master of Professional Studies in Analytics program prepares students by applying the principles, tools, and methods of analytics to a project within a sponsoring organization to successfully assist with the extraction, development, delivery, and/or translation/implementation of data analysis for tactical and/or strategic decision making in organizations.
Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis
The Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis is an interdisciplinary, flexible, and innovative degree focusing on quantitative research methods for social analysis strategies and techniques. The program educates social scientists and analysts in the use of computational tools to address questions of equity, hierarchy, social organization, and social systems in the field of social science. Students in this degree program will gain advanced training in statistical analysis and research methodology, including: data analytics in the social sciences; computational social science; network analysis in the social sciences; statistical methods in the social sciences; information ethics; geospatial analysis; and the digital humanities. Students can also incorporate a range of graduate certificate programs into the master’s degree. This knowledge, coupled with various co-op opportunities, positions students to enter the labor force with a competitive advantage.

Master of Science in Project Management
The mission of the Master of Science in Project Management in the College of Professional
Studies is to prepare learners as project management practitioners capable of applying
project management processes and the technical, professional, and strategic expertise
necessary for managing projects successfully. With emphasis on experiential learning,
the program provides dynamic opportunities for learners with varying degrees of work
experience to practice their knowledge both globally and collaboratively while implementing
traditional and innovative project management concepts to real-life and complex projects.
Featuring real-world case studies and project work, this project management degree
presents techniques and tools for managing long- and short-term projects, successfully
and cost effectively. Augmenting the core project management courses are concentrations
that provide you with content-specific expertise—enabling you to deepen your knowledge
in your field of interest.
