Clubs & Organizations
Student activities are driven by the interests of our students. With over 80 clubs on campus—and clear processes to start new ones—there are activities and interest groups for everyone. Students become leaders across our campus. CampusGroups is designed to foster an online community for our organizations. Through CampusGroups you can discover new organizations, connect with student leaders, register for events, communicate within or between organizations, track service hours and attendance, and more. Club fair is hosted once each semester, providing a venue for students to explore all our club offerings at once in an exciting, community-driven environment. Student Groups
The Student Government Association (SGA) is your voice on campus. SGA represents and welcomes all students and provides a variety of resources to the community. Students petition to serve as senators and work together to support and improve the student experience through advocacy, community collaboration, and transparent communication. Students elect officers for an overall executive board, and each class year elects their own officers. Class officers sit on committees within the senate to advocate for their class members.
The Student Events Board (SEB) is constantly working to provide fun, innovative, and creative events to entertain students on campus. The 20-student board strives to improve the Washington experience by building community, enhancing friendships, and creating relationships through unique, exciting, and engaging events throughout the school year.
Washington College has local chapters for two national fraternities (Kappa Sigma and Phi Delta Theta) and two sororities (Alpha Omicron Pi and Zeta Tau Alpha) on campus. Our Greek Life community is built on four pillars: scholarship, service and philanthropy, social, and leadership, and our Greek organizations host several charitable events and fundraisers throughout the semester, open to the entire campus. The Panhellenic Council is the governing body for the sororities to promote unity and collaboration.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is the voice of student athletes within our community. Its mission is to develop and strengthen bonds within the Washington community, and within the athletic department, while fostering a positive student-athlete image and experience.

- The Elm - Our weekly newspaper, publishing news, features, opinion, and sports online and in print every other week.
- Collegian - The literary arts magazine publishing prose, poetry, and art several times a year online and in print.
- The Pegasus - Our digital yearbook.
- Washington College Review - An academic journal that publishes two issues each year—one for writing students completed during their coursework, and one for Senior Capstone Experiences from the most recently graduated class.
Academic
There are many student organizations on campus that provide co-curricular opportunities for our students. From professional societies like the American Chemical Society and American Marketing Association, to the social and community groups like anthropology club and economics club. Want to start your own?
There are a lot of clubs on campus, but if you find that there's something missing, start your own club! Start out as a Special Interest Group (SIG) with 10 of your classmates. After one semester, your SIG can apply for full club status, so long as you meet the requirements of an active club. For more information on how to start your own club, visit SGA's club resources.
