Professional Work

After being a CES fellow and serving as the student director of sustainability, Emma began working immediately post-graduation as the Experiential Programs Assistant. Emma has since been promoted to the Center's Experiential Learning Program Coordinator and is the new lead manager of the Chesapeake Semester. Whether it’s planning logistics, further developing the program, or holding a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification to administer first aid out in the field, Emma handles anything thrown her way to make sure the program operates as smoothly (and as fun!) as possible. Emma is also responsible for helping run the CES Fellows program and any other experiential learning offerings through CES, such as high school conferences, special events, and the summer Headwaters to Bay course.

Personal Interests

When she’s not at work, you can almost always find Emma outside. She is an avid long-distance runner and regularly competes in both road and trail races. She also loves to swim, bike, hike, and paddleboard. Emma loves to read and is extremely passionate about health, marine science, and environmental sustainability. She loves to travel and is always looking for a new adventure!
