AI Magazine CoverThe Office of Marketing & Communications (MarComm) is both a strategic and service-based organization that works to build a strong brand narrative and identity through clear and attractive visuals combined with active storytelling focused on core strategic messages. MarComm programs are designed to that promote Washington College’s strengths and values, enhance its reputation, increase recognition, support the recruitment of students and institutional fundraising, and serve the community. 

MarComm guides the public presentation of Washington College and serves as a partner to offices and departments across the campus in producing materials and assets that promote and maintain the institution’s brand identity through unified messaging and consistent visual design for all areas of the College. Areas for which the office is responsible include:

  • Strategic messaging to support College objectives, including advancement, recruitment, and more;
  • Offering strategic marketing and communications services to campus clients;
  • Providing communications counsel and support for a wide range of institutional initiatives;
  • Community relationships and strategic sponsorship of events and local organizations on the College’s behalf.

For faculty, staff, or students who have something exciting in the works, we want to help spread the word about your efforts. On the MarComm page of MyWashColl, you can submit information about upcoming events, your ideas for stories or people to feature, or share details about something you want to promote. You can also find resources to help your own communications support the Washington College brand, with guides to editorial style and visual standards, as well as and downloadable brand assets like PowerPoint templates and electronic letterhead. The portal is also where you will find links to order business cards, stationery, and other branded materials.
