The Washington College Athletics Department inducted three new members into the Athletics Hall of Fame and recognized one alumna with the Edward L. Athey '47 award.
Richard Bell’s book “The American Revolution and the Fate of the World” won the award, which is given annually by Washington College, the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, and George Washington’s Mount Vernon.
Kicking off this year’s Homecoming and Fall Family Weekend, the Washington College community celebrated the inauguration of its 32nd president, Bryan Matthews ’75 M’86 P’12, only the second alum to hold the post.
The English department course, in collaboration with the Rose O’Neill Literary House, brings authors to campus to share their work with the public and help students with their own writing.
