Each year, Washington College students devote a day to campus beautification in appreciation of Eugene B. Casey and Betty Casey ’47 for their generous support of our institution.

Casey Time 2021

Washington College partnered with the Town of Chestertown to be part of the Chestertown's 11th Annual Earth Day Festival. Students spent the week composting, competing in an instagram challenge, upcycling, learning about the Campus Tree & Bee programs, listening to David Radcliffe talk about Humans vs. Nature, recycling and cleaning up the Wayne Gilchrest Trail.

Casey Time 2019

Casey Time is a campus beautification event that unites faculty, staff and students in service. For the 5th Annual Casey time event students primed the fence by the campus garden, painted curbs, cleaned the trail from Royal Farms to Joey's Auto, put new signs on recycling bins, power washed the Alumni House, panted storm drains and electric vehicle spots, cleaned and set up George's General Free Store, and cleaned up the campus.

Casey Time 2018

The SGA coordinated with Buildings and Grounds to help promote a day of beautification on campus. Many projects included cleaning up gardens in front of the Cullen Dorms, picking up trash in the quad, and walking around campus to pick up litter.

Throw Back to Casey Time 2016

In the Spring of 2016, current students of Washington College focused their efforts on the Armory, a historic building recently acquired by the College planted near the Chester River. Watch this Casey Time Video for an inside look inside look on our project.
