Internships

  • Complete an internship in the Data Science Innovation Lab during the semester. Projects vary, but generally are working with a campus or community group or organization to provide them with data sets.
  • Arrange your own internship experience through your own connections, or by tapping into the Center for Career Development’s extensive network.

Research

  • Collaborate with faculty on research projects.
  • Regularly complete research projects as part of your regular coursework.
  • Work with local community organizations to do real-world problem solving with actual data sets.
  • Create your own research project. Support, financial or otherwise, is available across campus, including through the John S. Toll Research Program and the Cater Society for Junior Fellows.

To get started thinking about what research you might be able to do at Washington College, review our faculty’s areas of expertise.
