Student Opportunities
Your college experience is more than just what you do in the classroom and the collection of courses you take. Putting your education into practice through internships, research, and forming connections with other people in clubs are all vital parts of being a part of a college community.
Find the Perfect Opportunity

Internships
- Participate in internships on or off campus, during the semester or over the summer. Computer science-related opportunities are available across campus.
- Take advantage of the network of existing partnerships—on campus and off—and assist in ongoing projects with real-time impact.
- Arrange your own internship experience through your own connections, or by tapping into the Center for Career Development’s extensive network.

Research
- Design projects you’re interested in. As part of your coursework, you will learn new skills and can put them to the test through project- and standards-based learning.
- Complete a Senior Capstone Experience (SCE) in a topic of your choice. SCE projects include a prototype (computer program), a written thesis, and an oral presentation.
- Assist faculty with their research during a semester-long project or in a 10-week summer resarch program.
- Create your own research project. Support, financial or otherwise, is available across
campus, including through the John S. Toll Research Program and the Libby and Douglas Cater Society for Junior Fellows.
