Start your journey in Chestertown by going behind the scenes with the Center for Environment & Society, touring the River and Field Campus, and enjoying a crab feast overlooking the Chester River. You’ll forage for wild foods before paddling at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and spend nights on the town enjoying Cambridge, Smith Island, and St. Michaels. Along the way you’ll cook fresh rockfish, go crabbing with a waterman, visit cultural museums, and hunt for fossilized shark teeth. Conclude your trip while riding the Chester River on the Callinectes in close pursuit of a log canoe race.
