Set Sail for College
Sailing and watersports are a lifestyle here on the eastern shore of Maryland and a major focus for the Washington College. Come take advantage of our waterfront campus on the Chester River! In this three day program you will learn the basics of sailing, kayak the coves of Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, and experience a day in the life of a historic Chesapeake Bay waterman at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum! The skills and adventures participants share in will showcase experiences of which few Washington College students take advantage. In addition, you will be some of the first students to set foot in our brand new boathouse!
Don’t spend your orientation indoors, come enjoy the beautiful Chester River with the Sailing team coaches. Set Sail for College is geared towards students interested in the outdoors as well as maritime history, but all students are welcome!
