The College owns two guest cottages: Brown Cottage (200 Campus Avenue) and The Adams House (210 Campus Avenue).
Guest Housing accommodates individuals visiting campus on college-related business.
Brown Cottage has 3 bedrooms which are reserved individually. In addition, the house has a shared kitchen, living room, dining room, den and half bath on the ground floor. Room 1 is located on the ground floor. Rooms 2 and 3 are located on the second floor.
Room 1, located on the ground floor, has a king size bed and an attached bathroom. Room 2, located on the second floor, has a king size bed which can be converted to 2 twin beds, and an attached bathroom. Room 3, also on the second floors, has a queen bed and features a small sitting room. Room 3's private bathroom is not attached but is accessed via the hallway.
The Adams House has 3 bedrooms and the house is reserved for one guest or group at a time. The largest room is located on the first floor and has a queen size bed. Two rooms with twin size beds are located on the second floor. There is a full bathroom on the ground floor and a powder room on the second floor. In addition, the house has a kitchen, living room, dining room, and den.
All guest housing reservations must be booked by an authorized employee of Washington College for a visiting guest on campus for college business. For guest room booking, please fill out the Guest Housing Request Form.
All guests’ stays must be paid through the host’s budget/department account. The cost is $40 per room per night.
All cottages include a kitchen with a refrigerator. The space in Brown Cottage is shared. Wireless access is also included.
Brown Cottage can accommodate up to six guests in three private rooms with shared space in the kitchen and living room area.
The Adams's House can accommodate up to four guests who would share 1 full bathroom and 1 powder room.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 9:00 a.m.
Key packets can be picked up during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), from the President's Office in Bunting Hall. If a guest is arriving after these hours and is not being met by their host, it is the host’s responsibility to take the key packet to the Office of Public Safety for pickup. The Office of Public Safety is open 24/7. Each key packet includes a card with the house's address, the room number (in the case of Brown Cottage), check-in and check-out times, and a temporary parking pass which is required to park on the residential side of Campus Ave. W.
