Strategic Plan
During President Mike Sosulski’s first year the College listened carefully to the immediate needs of the community and responded quickly. Washington College invested $20 million in the campus including renovations to the first-year residence halls and upgrading the campus Wi-Fi network and secured a new partner for the College’s dining services. President Sosulski also worked with his cabinet to reinstate cost of living increases and begin the process of returning retirement contributions to previous levels. All these initiatives helped pave the way for the Washington College community to turn its focus toward the future of the institution.
In the fall, President Sosulski announced a strategic planning process that will see two short-term plans to carry the College to its 250th anniversary in 2032. The process involves significant opportunities for the campus community and the Board of Visitors and Governors to provide their perspectives on the path Washington will follow. This site makes visible the process, documents and information related to the formation of the 2023-2027 strategic plan, to be shared with the community early in the 2023 Spring Semester.
