Professional Work and Research Interests:
As a hydrologist, my interests broadly revolve around water resources, human adaptation, and climate change. I use a variety of field techniques, modeling approaches, and quantitative and qualitative datasets to address the challenges of sustainable water management. Previously, my work was based in Bangladesh where I worked to unravel the dynamic water system of the climate-vulnerable coastal region. More recently, her research aims to characterize the salinization of coastal water resources in the Mid-Atlantic using hydrogeologic modeling, economic experiments, and stakeholder decision-making. I am a certified Project Management Professional and a volunteer for international water development projects. Her work always incorporates aspects of knowledge transfer, partner engagement, and science communication.
About Me:
When I am not at work you will find me hanging with my cats or backyard chickens. I love spending time outdoors and staying active. I also am a potter and spend many hours throwing bowls, mugs, and plates on my pottery wheel. Clay and water --- what could be better?
