First Friday Foraging

    Discover our edible campus with guided foraging walks on the first Friday of each month.

    Learn how to gather food from wild plants in foraging expeditions led by Shane Brill, and our team of Food Initiative Interns. Beyond seasonal eating at its finest, we’re also looking for fresh ingredients to share with the community during our Chestertown First Friday tours and tastings.

    Spring 2022 Foraging Walks  

    Monthly foraging expeditions leave from the Campus Garden at 4:30pm on the following days:

    • Friday, February 4
    • Friday, March 4
    • Friday, April 1

    Foraging walks follow the Rails to Trails path toward downtown Chestertown. Free to students, faculty, and staff. Community members are asked to contribute a donation of their choosing to support Food Initiative programs.
