Beekeeping 101

    Put on your bee veil and peek inside a hive. Develop an intimate understanding of our insect allies and strategies for ensuring their survival. Study bee anatomy, nutrition and colony behavior, and learn how to establish a hive.

Through a combination of videos, discussion, gear assembly, cooking, and apiary practicum, you’ll use all of your senses to serve as ambassadors for pollinators and support our Bee Campus USA outreach.

    The Local Beekeeping Scene

    The Upper Eastern Shore Beekeeping Association coordinates an annual community beekeeping course, and hosts monthly meetings for local beekeepers. We encourage students to get involved with them!
