Zach has been a huge nature enthusiast ever since he was born. In his free time, he can be found hiking, birding, participating in a garden at home, going mothing, reading, and enjoying the weather around him.
At Washington College, Zach has been fortunate to complete the Chesapeake Semester, a 16-credit semester long interdisciplinary course focused on the Chesapeake Bay. Zach is also an active member of the WC Bird Club and Adventure Club as well as a Teaching Assistant for the Biology Department. Furthermore, Zach currently works as an independent contractor for Adkins Arboretum, a local arboretum in Ridgely, Maryland, after a summer internship with them.
