Sophie Kerr Scholarships
The Sophie Kerr Gift in English Literature scholarships are four-year $1,500 tuition scholarships.
Are you an admitted applicant to Washington College’s incoming first-year class? Are you interested in literature and writing of all kinds? Are you considering a major in English or a minor in Creative Writing or Journalism, Editing & Publishing? Do you want to meet writers who visit campus and participate fully in the writing life at Washington College?
If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, you are eligible to apply for a Sophie Kerr scholarship!
Known officially as the Sophie Kerr Gift in English Literature, these scholarships are awarded annually to 8 members of each incoming first-year class. They are worth $6,000 in total, divided into $1,500 annually for four years.
The Application Will Include:
Indicating interest in applying as well as name and address.
