Marketing and Public Relations Internship
- Develop and implement promotions and partnerships to generate ticket sales
- Develop Webpage and Facebook page
- Monitoring and developing Social Media campaigns
- Develop promotional materials
- Maintaining concierge desk and materials
- Create and maintain email list and coordinating e-marketing projects
- Assist in the execution of subscriber retention, loyalty and recognition programs
- Proofread print advertising and collateral materials
- Pursue group sales opportunities
- Develop campaigns for student and young professionals initiatives
- Support marketing initiatives at concerts
- Assist in the acquisition of clients (performers), contracts and other business dealings
- Deal directly with client (performers) details such as housing, food, meeting points, etc
Candidates should possess strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills and have an interest in gaining valuable and direct experience in the marketing department of a performing arts organization. In addition, the candidate should have a high level of computer proficiency, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop. Washington College students with an interest in marketing and public relations in the performing arts are preferred. Please include a list of completed relevant coursework as well as whether college credit will be requested for this internship.
