12@Hotchkiss Noon Hour Series

12@Hotchkiss is an afternoon concert series featuring acclaimed artists from the Mid-Atlantic region. Concerts are held at 12:00 p.m. on every first Friday of the month (Sep, Oct, Nov, Feb, Mar, Apr) in Hotchkiss Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public, and the environment is informal. 12@Hotchkiss is co-sponsored by the Department of Music.

  • 6:00pm: Electric Brigade, Free Outdoor ConcertAs part of its 2016-2017 Premier Artists lineup, the Washington College Concert Series presents Electric Brigade, the U.S. Navy’s premier popular music group. This FREE family-friendly program will take place is Martha Washington Square. Bring a blanket and come enjoy some great pop/rock music!

October 6th, 2016

  • 7:30pm: Dai Shihan (Grand Master) Michael Chikuzen Gould, ShakuhachiAs part of its 2016-2017 Premier Artists lineup, The Concert Series presents Dai Shihan (Grand Master) Micheal Chikuzen Gould.  This event is co-sponsored by the Global Education Office, the William James Forum, and the Department of Philosophy and Religion. As one of only a handful of non-Japanese to hold the title of “Dai Shihan,” Chiukuzen will perform the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese 5-holed flute. Advance Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
