Moore joined the Washington College Staff in 2014 after spending 26 years in the Public Accounting Field as a Senior Staff Accountant and Finance Manager concentrating on Grant Accounting, Budgeting, Medical Billing and Tax Returns in the Mental Health Industry. She was instrumental in implementing a real-time accounting system and complete paperless accounting environment for a large consolidated multi-million dollar company.
In the Washington College Business Office, Moore’s major focus is Grant Accounting Management, Accounts Payable Management and Cash Control Procedures. Moore works closely with the College’s Project Managers to review Preliminary Budgets and fulfill the Accounting Reporting Requirements for all Federal and State Grants awarded to the College. Moore oversees all payments issued by the College for goods and services by check, electronic payment or credit card. She also monitors cash controls are followed throughout the College Campus. Since joining the Washington College Staff, Moore has been an advocate for the paperless office. In the last few years, the Accounts Payable environment has moved from paper processing and paper checks to online submission and approval of transactions and issuing electronic payments. Over the next few years, look for many more Accounting processes to move to the paperless environment!
