Zung Nguyen received Washington College’s Alumni Citation for Excellence in Finance in 2008.
Zung, a College Trustee emeritus, is a retired senior private banker, most recently with JP Morgan Private Bank in New York City. Prior to his time at JP Morgan, Zung was previously involved with a number of successful private equity transactions in the biotech and communication technology industries. He worked at American Century Investments in the capacity of a senior portfolio advisor between 1998 and 2002. He joined ING Barings Capital Markets and was instrumental in developing the company’s business in derivatives and emerging market currencies. Mr. Nguyen spent 13 years at JP Morgan between 1983 and 1996 in a number of senior capital market positions. He is often a guest lecturer on financial market matters
Mr. Nguyen is a past chairman of Washington College’s Annual Fund, was a member of the Visiting Committee and was his Class Agent for more than 21 years. He and his wife, Catherine, reside with their three children, Matthew, Alison, and Emily, in Morristown, New Jersey. Mr. Nguyen and his wife served as President of the Villa Walsh Academy board. He is active in various youth sport programs in Northern New Jersey. He joined the Washington College Board in 1994, and was named a Visitor Emeritus in 2001.
