Fall Break was a great experience. Although it was a small group, it was a great bonding experience between both new and veteran members. Everybody worked hard during the short amount of time spent partnering with the Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Vineland, NJ. During the first two days, the team framed a driveway with pressure-treated lumber and filled it with oyster shells. On the third day, we partnered with the Vineland Volunteer Fire Department and built a ramp for a local veteran. To balance work and play, we finished one of our days with a group painting class and another with a trip to a trampoline park.
Students, faculty, and staff from Washington College traveled to Albany, Americus, and Columbus, Georgia over Spring Break to help build three homes in a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and NeighborWorks Columbus.
