Ready for War

Played a total of 45 times, the match-up brings together the men’s lacrosse teams from Washington College and Salisbury University to battle it out for the Charles B. Clark Cup. Washington College’s last win over Salisbury came in 2002, when they defeated the Sea Gulls 14-10.
But 2013 may be the year for a comeback. With an overall record of 9-1 the Shoremen are currently ranked 10th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III Top 20. Led by Head Coach Jeff Shirk, the team currently boasts a record of 3-1 in the Centennial Conference, placing them in third place behind Franklin and Marshall and Dickinson.
The Shoremen will take on the Sea Gulls (11-3) on April 17th at 7 p.m. on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. There is no cost of admission, and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. For those unable to visit the College, the game will be broadcast live on GooseNationTV.com.
