Earth Week: “In Organic We Trust”
Date: 5:00pm - 7:30pm EDT April 22, 2013
This screening is part of a double feature presentation along with the Washington College Film Series. “In Organic We Trust” examines the organic food movement in the United States and asks difficult questions like: what does organic really mean? Is organic food actually better for us? Is the food advertised as organic really organic? Film director Kiplin Pastor travels the country talking with farmers, organic critics, scientists, organic certifiers and legislators in an attempt to get to the bottom of these questions. What Pastor found will shock the 73% of americans who purchase organic foods. Following the screening we will have a question and answer session with Kiplin Pastor via Skype.
Earth Week is designed to promote sustainability and responsible use of the natural environment through lectures and events. The Center for Environment and Society is proud to sponsor Kiplin Pastor and all of the events related to Earth Week 2013.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information on this, or any of our Earth Week events please contact Rachel Field firstname.lastname@example.org or call 410 810 7162.
