What does WC mean to you?
Washington College is a vast network of opportunities to me. From Club Fair to the Center for Career Development, the College is constantly working for the students and alumni to not only give us an unparalleled education, but also valuable experience that will follow us for the rest of our lives. Washington College will always match the drive of any student and provide for his/her needs.
What’s the best way to spend a weekend in Chestertown?
My ideal weekend is going to town on First Friday and then on Saturday, getting breakfast at Beverly’s and dinner at Uncle Charlie’s. There’s almost always a play or performance being held on campus or in town, but if I can’t make it to a performance, I can always tan by the waterfront!
What so far has been your favorite tradition or memory at WC?
My favorite traditions are Spring Fling and Fall Fest. Running around in a “scarecrow” outfit while carrying a pumpkin and eating a blueberry pie without my hands are activities I never imagined myself doing. Washington College is definitely inspiring!
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my majors in high school. Psychology and English are both passions of mine, and my teachers encouraged me to pursue those fields. WC, of course, drew me closer to the fields and helped my narrow my interests to addiction psychology and Shakespeare.
What should every student do before they graduate?
Every student needs to get a burger, fries, and a milkshake from the Freeze. Friends are optional when the food is this good.
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Center for Career Development. The furniture is comfortable and the staff are awesome!
