Elisabeth Engle

Class of 2017
Major/Minor: International Studies/French double major Religious Studies minor

I will be graduating spring of 2017 with a double major in International Studies and French as well as a minor in Religious Studies.

I am from East Aurora, NY right outside of Buffalo, NY and am the first from my area to come to Washington College. I chose WAC because of it’s small size, the community is extremely close and I never feel left out of anything.

I spent the 2015/16 academic year in Grenoble, France studying in French and English at Universite Pierre Mendes France and Stendhal University-both a part of Grenoble University. At Washington College I have been a member of the Student Government (Senator and Speaker of the Senate), as well as Dance Club and Residential Life (RA of Caroline 2014/15).

I hope to return to Europe after I graduate to teach English, travel, and eventually get my master’s degree in France. I am very passionate about travel, languages, and learning in depth about world cultures and religions.
