Andy’s Burger Night

Burger Night at Unity Nursery in support of the Locavore Lit Fest. Come out for great food, fun, and to support local farms!
Local musicians will perform open-mic style throughout the event.  In the spirit of being eco-friendly, diners are asked to bring their own plates, utensils, and cloth napkins.  A new addition will be the raffle of a tree from Unity Nursery and a guided boat ride on the Callinectes featuring Dr. John Seidel of the Center for Environment & Society.

“Burger Night is a fun time to get together in January with great food, music, and beverages,” says Michael Hardesty, of the Center for Environment & Society at Washington College, who will be sponsoring the event, “There is no better excuse to be outside on a nice winter day then over a freshly grilled burger and good friends.  The last two years have had a great turn out–in fact, get your tickets fast because they always sell out!”

Tickets, priced at $18 each (children under 12 free) and $30 per couple, are available at Unity Nursery or online at  Space is limited. If advance reservations sell out, there will be no tickets available at the door.  Tickets will include a seating time of 1 or 2 p.m., though patrons are encouraged to come early and stay for the entire event.  All proceeds will benefit the Locavore Lit Fest, which returns to Chestertown March 21-24, 2013.
